Apartments.com - Selecting Omniture

Manoj Jasra - Thursday, June 12, 2008 1 Comments

Earlier this week Apartments.com announced they will be selecting Omniture as their analytics vendor of choice to help them provide insight for their online marketing efforts. Yesterday I was able to chat with an Apartments.com representative to get a better understanding of this decision as well as how strongly Apartments.com feels towards the need for web analytics.

How important is analytics to Apartments.com?

As an online company, analytics are imperative to measuring the success of marketing campaigns and promotions, dictating areas of improvement for our Web site and providing us with a snapshot of the day-to-day operations of our Web site. Ultimately, Apartments.com wants to drive site visitors into a conversion event and analytics will confirm when this happens.

Why did you select Omniture?

The Omniture product suite provided the best solution to online needs. Through this technology, we now have a better understanding of the activity on Apartments.com. The data provided by Omniture creates a more seamless and efficient environment for Apartments.com analysts to perform their job.

Who were the stakeholders involved in this decision?

The decision was made collaboratively by our robust team of product
developers, analysts and marketing and sales professionals.

What type of insight are you looking for Omniture Discover to provide?

We can measure and correlate all the Apartments.com data on our Web
site. With real-time access to data, our analysts can work more
effectively. And by increasing access to our data, we expect to be able to perform more in-depth analysis to support future business decisions, and even the direction of the company, based on these new insights.
