Live and Google Up, Yahoo Down in November

Hitwise, announced today that Google accounted for 71.97 percent of all U.S. searches in the four weeks ending Nov. 29, 2008. Yahoo! Search, MSN Search and Ask.com each received 17.70 percent, 5.45 percent and 3.35 percent, respectively. The remaining 43 search engines in the Hitwise Search Engine Analysis Tool accounted for 1.53 percent of U.S. searches.

HI Manoj,
Again, as I commented on your blog a while ago, Hitwise is off the mark with the Google figure. I have analyzed and continue analyzing dozens of web site data, and the Google Share is closer to 85% than the Hitwise numbers would suggest. I think it's because they don't take Google's non-USA properties into account.

I would probably agree with you. What do you think of the comScore numbers which give Google even less market share?
