Web Based CRM and Social Media CRM [Infographic]

Choosing a CRM solution is a hugely important decision for any business. Depending on the size and complexity of an organization it can be a big task. Usually the worst thing you can do when looking at any IT system is to start with technologies and solutions. Typically it makes much more sense to spec. out user requirements, find out exactly what you would want from a system and at that stage go out to the market and see what will meet your needs and your budget.

This approach sounds fine in principle but sometimes it also helps to know what is actually possible before you start this process. For example things like the benefits of web based solutions over internal systems, mobile access and incorporation of social media factors into CRM capability are all factors that you might not even be aware of initially but could be very beneficial to your organisation. I think a blended approach can make a lot of sense. You still absolutely need to gather business and user requirements however taking an initial look at the market and some of the advancements and innovations in technology systema such as CRM can actually help  you to scope out your needs better, making you think about improvements in process, access and automation that you may otherwise not have included.

The infographic below is by no means a complete guide to Web based CRM systems but it’s a nice overview of some of the major players, how long they have been around and scores them on a few key criteria such as integration and flexibility, price transparency and trust guarantees, mobile access etc.

AIMcrm – Lead Management, Analytics, Sales Force Automation & More

AIMcrm provides customer relationship management solutions to small to medium sized businesses. This CRM comes with all the bells and whistles including custom form management, email tracking capabilities, team management , Sales Force automation and whole lot more.

What really interested me about this lead management software are the onboard reports and analytics that are accompanied with it.

The Data Mining reports allow you to refine your data based on 18 different criteria allowing you really drill deep to find those hidden gems of information. An immensely useful part of AIMcrm is to track the detail of all users across the entire sales cycle and this is done through its ability to monitor every interaction a visitor has with your websites (email, search engines, website, etc…)

If it’s dashboards that you are interested in than you will be pleased to know that AIMcrm comes with 18 different dashboard modules and its interface allows you to see/compare 6 modules at once. I won’t discuss all 18 at this point, but I would like to mention a couple of my favorite modules:

Neglected Leads – Which leads are being neglected? Determine the pace at which the Lead Attention Meter, displays a lead as Neglected. This at-a-glance, visual cue is invaluable for people who want to spend more time selling and less time dealing with software.

RSS Feeds – This module allows you and your any of your users to view custom
configured RSS feeds right on the dashboard.

Business Intelligence Software: CRM

Sponsored Post
For many companies a good CRM (Customer Relationship Management) program is a holy grail of sorts. Ideally, a company could implement their business intelligence software to streamline customer interactions allowing for employees to focus their time spend on other business activities , all the while gathering information to use in other business intelligence reports to predict the next big thing. The problem with looking for business intelligence software from that perspective is twofold. First, the company will never find what it’s looking for and secondly, it forgets that a business is its customers. Wise business intelligence professionals have pointed out that the most successful business intelligence programs are ones where realistic expectations have been set internally. Below are a few things to remember when shopping for CRM business intelligence software so that you don’t end up disappointed:

Your Customer
Your customers are going to have as much or more face time with the system you choose than your employees in some cases. Make sure that you pick a software program that is going to appeal to them. Choices are great, but if your customers can’t navigate the system, they’ll probably hang up or log off before you learn what they needed or wanted. Go for customer satisfaction and you’ll never go wrong.

Your Business Intelligence Software Company
The company you pick is going to make a big difference in how easy it is to manage your CRM software. Find a company that can help guide you through the process and is willing to work with you to find the best program for your customers and not just up-sell you on extra bells and whistles. A company that you can work with is going to make it much simpler for you to work with your customers using their software system.

Your People
By choosing a business intelligence software system that is easy to use internally, you can help your employees help your customers more quickly and efficiently. At the end of the day, to provide truly excellent customer service, you need not just a great CRM system, but a great team of customer service representatives who can step in and help the customer if necessary. Your people can get information from your customers that no software system can, but a good CRM system can help you make that information actionable and handle issues or requests that are simple to address. You can learn things from your customers that can help make your CRM better and a good business intelligence software company will help you address those needs as they arise.

Knowing what to expect from your CRM system can help you pick the best one for your company. Just remember your customer, a good business intelligence software provider, and solid support for your system are all very important to your business intelligence initiative and you’ll be on your way to successful CRM that will benefit your company.
