Microsoft XBox Natal – Changing the Face of Gaming

Ok, I know this has nothing to do with Internet Marketing and you may have already heard of the XBox Natal, but I saw it for the first time on Jimmy Fallon’s late night talk show. I thought it was absolutely amazing.

Project Natal, a sky-high ambitious body/face/voice recognition add-on for the Xbox 360 that, if it works as promised, changes not just the 360, not just gaming, but how humankind interfaces with technology.

Rumours had swirled for a while that Microsoft, jealous of the Wii’s success with non-traditional gamers, was about to reveal some sort of motion sensing device for their own console. Project Natal would seem to stem from that jealousy, but it goes much, much further than the expected response/rip-off. Source: Tech Radar.

Xbox Takes Over Wii and Playstation 3

Bill Tancer over at the Hitwise Blog reports that Xbox 360 has taken over the Nintendo Wii in terms of the most searched for gaming console in the United States.

“So what is driving the increase in searches for Xbox 360? It appears to be a
combination of hype for new games, rumours of a price drop and no doubt some
queries about the recent problems.”
