Online Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Manager would appear to be broadly interchangeable titles although “Digital ” will often indicate wider experience and responsibility (e.g. may include mobile marketing )
These are arguably two of the most used, but also least specific, job titles in this market.
At the top end of the range, employers will often be looking for proven internet/online marketing specific experience and skills – often with demonstrated ability to lead teams and develop strategy.
At the lower salary end there can be some interesting opportunities even for the more experienced candidate – look out for young companies with great ideas and potential for equity involvement if you are entrepreneurial in spirit.
Remember these are advertised salaries and don’t include bonus or share participation elements etc. These are jobs where employers should ensure they are capturing the real nature and challenges of the role in their advertising and ensure they reflect an appropriate market rate for the job on offer.
