What is it good at?
Klout enables the measurement of a notional value of “influence on social media” and discovers users, brand influencers and others considered as influencers on specific topics. Users can earn Klout perks to get exclusive access to products and experiences and, as a brand, use Klout perks to reach and engage with influencers.
Varied, from individuals to Enterprise Level organizations.
How is it used?
The Klout Score uses data from social networks in order to measure: i) True Reach; how many real people you influence ii) Amplification; how much you influence them and iii) Network Impact; the influence of your network.
Users can link their different social networks to Klout: Facebook, Twitter and Google are the main networks (at least one has to be connected) but other networks can then be added including Linkedin, YouTube or FourSquare.
What do you get?
Anyone with a Twitter, Facebook or Google account can link with Klout. Brands are also able to partner with Klout or run a Klout Perks Program.
