|Much of what we write about in Web Analytics World is focussed on clever ways of attracting natural “organic” traffic to your website or social site and measuring the size and impact – however there are plenty of ways to buy traffic and whilst this is hardly new (after all, it’s already a multi billion dollar industry worldwide) we thought it would be useful to summarise some of the key tactics you can use to buy website trafficand the reasons for doing so – it may already be a huge industry but everything points to it becoming a lot bigger yet as marketing budgets globally continue to embrace digital marketing.

When should I buy website traffic?
If you have not already bought traffic you first need to consider whether or not it is appropriate to do so – how does it align to your objectives for your site? This may be fairly self evident for say a commercial site with products and an online shopping cart however for many other sites ( e.g. a professional service firm) the case for buying traffic whilst still valid may need some proper consideration.
No matter how large or small your budget the good news is that there are some fairly simple, yet clever, things you can do to improve chances of success (and of course this activity should run alongside your ongoing efforts in onsite and offsite SEO activity)

Whether you organise and purchase your advertising campaigns yourself or, as many do, outsource this to an agency, we believe you should at least become familiar with the basic principles and there are a number of steps and tips in the video.
